William Marion Pennington

Platinum Print

USA

c.1910

William Marion Pennington (1874-1947), whose name appears on the bottom right corner of this photograph, was active in Durango, Texas between 1900 - 1930. Titled "Navajo" on the bottom left corner, the 7.5” X 9.5”  warm toned platinum print shows Pennington’s trademark jagged edge surrounding the image. The photograph is in good condition, though there are a few scuff marks that show in the background. Otherwise the image is well preserved with sharp, rich tones and excellent contrast.
